C.E.G.
Construction History
As
a prominent industrial real estate broker in the
greater Los Angeles area of the late 80’s,
Trace Chalmers grew frustrated with the shortcomings
of the existing industrial contractors in Southern
California. There was a void in the marketplace.
Many clients had specific building requirements,
however, the market was unable to provide those
requirements in a turnkey product thus making some
complex transactions extremely difficult to complete.
In order to fill this void, Mr. Chalmers envisioned
a turnkey industrial real estate business that would
be able to provide quality services from the acquisition
of land, design of the project, through construction
of a completed functioning facility. He understood
that businesses want to focus on what they do best,
run their business.
C.E.G.
Construction was founded on two basic principles:
deliver turnkey facilities to clients at an affordable
fixed price and operate the company with complete
integrity. Based upon these principles, CEG Construction
was formed in 1988. After completing many smaller
projects over several years, in the fall of 1990
C.E.G. was given the opportunity to improve an
existing facility for DHL at Los Angeles International
Airport. Then, in the summer of 1992, C.E.G became
an approved contractor of Northrop Grumman’s
B2 program. From those initial opportunities C.E.G.
continued to grow. In 1999-2000 C.E.G. was inducted
into the Inc. 500 and in 2002 was placed on the
Los Angeles Journal’s fastest growing companies
list.
Over
the years, C.E.G. Construction has had the opportunity
to build millions of square feet of buildings
in the Los Angles Area for many wonderful clients.
C.E.G. Construction continues to strive to provide
high-quality industrial buildings including food
processing facilities, cold storage facilities,
distribution facilities, and industrial parks
at turnkey low fixed prices.
