JAMES N. DEVLING

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

James N. Devling is Chief Financial Officer of Chalmers Corporation and has been involved in the building industry from his early years. Mr. Devling’s first introduction to the building industry was through working in his family’s building supply business as a teenager and later working for a general contractor until he entered college.

After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Devling gained employment with Pennwood Construction Company a medium sized high-end custom home contractor as a project manager. His responsibilities gradually increased until he was responsible for the majority of construction operations for the company as well as all development entitlement responsibilities.

In January of 1988 Mr. Devling was accepted into the University of Rochester’s prestigious Simon School of Business. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1989 gaining a master in business administration with a concentration in finance.

After graduating from business school Mr. Devling moved to Southern California to take employment with Inland Empire Healthcare, as a real estate finance consultant. Acquiring and developing real property for the California-base HMO he gained invaluable experience in the California real estate market.

Advancing his career, Mr. Devling accepted a position as Controller for Chase Realty Group where he was responsible for the financial management of the large real estate management and development company.

In 1994 Mr. Devling accepted the position of Finance Manager of Chevron Land and Development Company, the real estate subsidiary of Chevron U.S.A. He was responsible for the financial management of Acquisition and Disposition Division of CL&D, a $260MM Division. Chevron U.S.A. Management ordered the sale of CL&D’s assets in the summer of 1995, and Mr. Devling played a crucial role in the dissolution of the assets of Chevron Land & Development Company by early summer of 1996.

In June of 1997 Mr. Devling accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer of Chalmers Corporation, where he is responsible for the financial well-being and vision of the company.
